Brad Richards PEI Celebrity Golf Classic

For the past six (6) years, a hard working group of volunteers has helped to create the Brad Richards Celebrity Golf Classic. This tournament, held in July at the world-class Dundarave and Brudenell River Golf Courses in Roseneath, Prince Edward Island, is dedicated to helping children with challenges in life. The event supports two very worthy charities: Children’s Wish Foundation, Prince Edward Island Chapter and Autism Society of Prince Edward Island.

All funds raised are used to support the two mentioned charities that provide great service to many Island children. The Children’s Wish Foundation grants the favorite wish of children between the ages of 3 and before their 18th birthday, who have been diagnosed with a high risk, life-threatening illness, such as Cancer, Cystic Fibrosis and Duchene’s Muscular Dystrophy. The Autism Society provides information and support to families and individuals with autism, promotes, supports and advocates quality education, treatment and services for individuals with autism and promotes and supports research into the cause and treatment of autism.

The tournament has had the great fortune of being supported by many first class members of the hockey community and has enjoyed long standing partnerships with its sponsors. Past celebrities who have participated include: Vincent Lecavalier, Martin St. Louis, Dion Phaneuf, Dave Andreychuk, Sidney Crosby, Todd Bertuzzi, Cassie Campbell and Ron MacLean.

Brad and the organizing committee look forward to the next Brad Richards P.E.I. Celebrity Golf Classic. It is sure to be an exciting few days in beautiful Prince Edward Island and fulfills the mission of helping many children in need!
